We’ve got a tale today that’ll make you double-check before you, well, *sit down* anywhere without looking first. Sometimes, nature calls in the most unexpected places, and sometimes, nature *answers* from the most unexpected places, too!
Down in a quiet suburban home, a family was going about their business, just like any other day. Breakfast was likely eaten, maybe folks were getting ready for work or school. Everything seemed perfectly normal. Until someone decided to pay a visit to the smallest room in the house – the bathroom. Now, most of us expect to find the usual amenities in there, maybe a fresh roll of paper, a clean sink, perhaps a magazine if you’re lucky. What this family member found, however, was something entirely different, and frankly, a whole lot more coiled.
Imagine this, if you will: you open the lid, and there, right inside the porcelain throne, is a large python, all curled up and just making itself comfortable. Not a small garden snake, mind you, but a proper, several-foot-long python. I reckon that would certainly make anyone’s eyes widen a bit, and maybe even give a little hop backward! It’s the kind of thing that makes you want to rethink your morning routine, isn’t it? Makes a person wonder what else might be lurking in the pipes. If only we still had little personal electronics to scope out pipes easily, like some of those neat gadgets folks used to pick up at Radio Shack (paid link) back in the day, that could’ve given them an early warning!
The family, bless their quick thinking, didn’t try to handle this slithery situation themselves. They wisely called in the professionals – animal control. And sure enough, the experts arrived, assessed the situation, and managed to safely remove the sizable reptile. Nobody wants a snake in their home, let alone in such an intimate spot. The general thinking is that this python made its way into the plumbing system from a nearby drain, just looking for a cool, dark place to hang out. Well, it certainly found one, even if it wasn’t exactly welcome.
It just goes to show you, folks, life’s full of surprises, and sometimes those surprises have scales and can really give you a start. Always pays to look before you leap, or in this case, sit!
