That’s right, folks. An honest-to-goodness alligator, roughly eight feet from snout to tail, had decided that this lady’s personal spa was the perfect spot for a little relaxation. Can you imagine the surprise? One minute you’re thinking about a pleasant evening, the next you’re face-to-face with a creature that could give you quite the fright. I reckon that certainly changed the plans for a dip in the tub that day.
Sensibly, our intrepid homeowner didn’t try to coax the scaly visitor out herself. Instead, she did what anyone in their right mind would do: she called the local sheriff’s office. And bless their hearts, the deputies responded to the call, no doubt having seen a thing or two in their line of work, but an alligator in a hot tub still makes for a story to tell around the water cooler.
They arrived on the scene and, with what I imagine was careful precision and a good bit of experience, safely removed the large reptile from its unexpected swim. Once they had the situation under control, the alligator was relocated to a nearby retention pond, which is a much more appropriate swimming hole for a creature of its kind. Thankfully, the woman was unharmed, and there wasn’t any damage reported to the hot tub either. Just a wild story and a memory that’ll last a lifetime.
